CH-47F livery based on the CH-47As of the Republic of Vietnam Air Force (RVNAF).

The RVNAF operated 70 CH-47s from 1970, until the fall of Saigon in 1975, used to resupply and transport ARVN and allied troops, and evacuate civilians and troops as the republic was collapsing.

At least 36 RVNAF Chinooks remained in Vietnam after 1975, finding new service in the Vietnamese People’s Air Force.

This specific skin is based off of CH-47A 66-00073, which was originally a US Army Chinook that was transferred to the South Vietnamese Air Force in September of 1972. Assigned to the 196th Assault Support Helicopter Company, of the 247th Helicopter Squadron at Lane Army Airfield, in Bình Ðinh province. During the 1975 Spring Offensive, 66-00073 was captured by the North Vietnamese Army, and transferred to the Vietnamese People’s Air Force after the fall of Saigon.

(Livery is found under both US and Vietnam factions.)
