Single player ground attack mission for the Flaming Cliffs F-5 Tiger

Earlier today, after months of small-scale conflicts, Iraqi Forces launched a series of surprise attacks on almost every active Iranian airfield. Iraqi ground troops have begun an offensive along the border with Iran and are making advances into Iranian territory. The Iraqi forces are unaware that their air attacks have done little long-term damage to the IIRAF airfields. After a few hours of hurried maintenance, the Iranian F-5E Tigers based at Bassel Al-Assad are ready to strike back!


You are Lion 1, the lead aircraft of two Iranian Air Force (IRIAF) F-5Es. Escorted by Jackal, another pair of F-5s, you are to carry out a strike on an Iraqi Air base at Rayak. The base is defended by an SA-2 battery and possibly ZSU-23 AAA pieces. The Intelligence officer reports that Iraqi Mig-21s have bee reported patrolling low level near Rayak.

This mission will test:
* Start Up and Take Off
* Navigation using pre programmed waypoints
* Use of Dumb Bombs
* Use of Rockets and Cannon
* Potentially air-to-air combat
* Landing

** This mission is written for the F-5 Tiger in the Flaming Cliffs 3 pack. You can change to the full fidelity F-5 by using the mission editor. If you do you will lose the automatic waypoint navigation system and will need to add a TACAN or navigate manually. Alternatively look for my older Operation Revenge mission in the DCS files. It was written for the full fidelity F-5E but probably isn't as polished as this version ;)
