Escorting Air Force One from McCarran International to Groom Lake. Multiple requirements/mods used, check details!

This is a more logistical/immersive type mission theme I am trying to bring to DCS. Personally, I enjoy making use of the statics and ground units to create some feeling of liveliness. The main objective of this was to provide something fun for new players and those looking for 'outside the box' problem solving. Rather than just heads-up BVR, a dog-fight, or BFM - this mission aims to highlight the more minute influences on a pilot's decision-making and workflow. As well as including a couple of twists and turns.

If you prefer to have just a nice and easy flight, you can open this bad boy up in the mission editor and delete the bandit.

Additionally, on the Superhornet version you will be looking for Waypoint 1 as your starting turn point for NAV, and box SEQ1 if you'd like to see the route. For the F22.... Yeah, not a clue. Sorry. Comms wise, after you receive the transmission from 'Zen Actual' on Channel 1, flip over to channel 3 for the remainder of the mission.  I did my best to add some interesting comms {the ATC overwatch channel is broken, I cannot fix it - will explain below}.

In this mission, you will escort Air Force One to Groom Lake from McCarran International. Don't feel -too- rushed. I really hope you guys enjoy my attempt at going for a different sort of 'feel' behind the mission. It's heavily inspired by GS videos. Shocker. I know. It's also inspired by my anxiety of taking information while also trying to boot up a high-fidelity plane. :D

Just keep in mind, physical events are trigger based so they will still be functional. However, some of the dialogue/background is askew. Unfortunately, it is somewhat of a 'half-baked' mission. I can't edit any further. Such as inaccuracies in the briefing. for example. The Vice Admiral for the Navy in 2004 would have been Michael D. Malone and in the F22 version it still has a comm dialogue estimating a twenty minute start-up phase. Which was originally written/voiced for the Hornet. Anyway! I did my best before I lost access to the files. :s

Self-admittedly. I spent the entirety of my fourteen day trial for the F18C module/Nevada map making this mission. I made the most of it and learned a whole heck of a lot about the editor/f18 platform. I got better at matching air speed, trim, air-braking, holding formation, navigation, using radar, fuel management, autopilot, radio, etc. Besides being stuck on controller for a little while longer - I've made do and actually gained consistency! Learned a ton about the triggers, ground units, comms, and so forth in the editor. It's super fun once you start getting into the flow. So! Just hoping I can maybe share something cool with my fellow aviation geeks! Beginners, immersion nerds like me, and the aces. Sorry I couldn't -truly- flesh it out like I wanted. Still felt it was worth sharing. Let me know what you think and please feel free to build on what's there. Gimme a tag if you make something with it cus I'll want to play it once I acquire a couple modules! c:

Thanks for playing,

Pixel.

P.S. There is a mission file with the FA-18F SuperHornet from CJS and the J10A -- as well as a mission file with the F22 Raptor and the J20A. I cannot guarantee a fair fight with the bandit for those who may not have their A/A elbows out just yet... I didn't get time to extensively test this part of the mission as I'd have liked to.
