I’m pleased to release the latest batch of USN / USMC custom squadron flight helmets. Like my previous helmet Packs, Pack 5 was also created with the help of Cobra_B39 who provided the squadron art.


Each squadron listed contains both an HGU-55 and corresponding JHMCS helmet. Working from squadron photos and videos, we strive to replicate actual helmets and include details such as weathering, tape effects, squadron-accurate artwork and callsign fonts. Together, we are pleased to bring these F/A-18 helmet files to the DCS community.  

Pack 5 features the following:  

VFA-87 Golden Warriors
VFA-97 Warhawks
VFA-105 Gunslingers
VMFA-312 Checkerboards




Installation:
Copy and paste the six .dds files into the livery folder of your choice.
Insert or overwrite these lines in the description.lua file.

If you want the HGU-55 helmet as your default instead of the HMD version, add these lines at the end of your description .lua file. Once in DCS, you can always switch to the HMD helmet from the Ground Crew menu:
