**SITUATION**  
Intelligence indicates that Iranian forces are actively attempting to enforce an illegal blockade of the Persian Gulf. The Iranian Air Force and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) Navy are mobilizing from bases along the Iranian coast. Their intent is to intercept any vessels entering or exiting the Gulf.


**MISSION OBJECTIVE**
Task Force Hammer (CVN-73 George Washington and LHA-1 Tarawa) is currently escorting civilian vessels as they depart the Persian Gulf from Kuwait. Ensure the freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and eliminate any hostile Iranian forces attempting to enforce the blockade.

1) Launch from the USS George Washington and establish an initial patrol station south of Qeshm Island at Waypoint 1.
2) Identify and engage any hostile aircraft.
3) Prevent any Iranian forces from threatening the civilian sea vessels:
  a. Destroy the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Naval Base on the south end of Qeshm Island at Waypoint 2 (Img 3).
    - Destroy any IRGC Naval Vessels that try to enforce the blockade.
  b. Destroy the Qeshm Island Airbase located at Waypoint 3 (Img 4).
  c. Destroy the Silkworm Missile Sites on Larak Island at Waypoint 4 (Img 5).
    - Destroy the Shahid Bagheri Drone Carrier Group if deployed from Bandar Abbas.
4) RTB upon mission completion.

**GAMEPLAY**
Spawn hostile aircraft, vessels and SAM sites via Comms F10 menu:
- Hostile aircraft will orbit at Waypoint 1.
- IRGC Navy and Carrier group will intercept the convoy from the east.
- SAM sites located near Havadarya and Bandar Abbas.
Eliminating ground targets will:
- IRGC Naval Base removes the IRGC Navy.
- Qeshm Island Airbase removes Su-25s.
- Silkworm Missile Sites removes the Shahid Bagheri Drone Carrier Group.
Iranian Navy will automatically engage at Strait of Hormuz if not spawned via Comms F10.
Su-25s primary attack focus are the civilian sea vessels.
Iranian aircraft available from Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island via Red Coalition.
Whiskey aircraft are available as cold starts.
Utilize Dynamic Spawn option in multiplayer for additional spawn options on CVN-73, LHA-1 and various airports.


**DESIGN NOTES**
This is a sandbox-style training mission designed for both solo and multiplayer with hot starts, easy comms, and targets spawned via Comms F10. It is part of a progressive training series that begins with Nevada – NTTR Training Operations, continues with Marianas – Naval Operations, and concludes with Persian Gulf - Operation Hammer.
