Turkish leader Erdogan has become a key player in the international community's quest for security and stability. This has become more predominant since 2018 as Turkish military bases in Northern Iraq have seen an 85% increase. It has put Turkey in a close position to seriously influence the region's Oil industry with the only serious resistance to such situation posed by the PKK embedded in the Gara Mountain range.
