This is a submission for the B-17G Livery Competition. This includes two skins depicting S/Ns 44-83851 No. '23' and 44-83811 No. 21. Although these are beyond the dates specified in the competition, I thought that they may be useful for missions on the new Sinai map. The history and color schemes noted on the web vary quite a bit. Original photos of what I assume to be the delivery flight show them as being very heavily worn. Some accounts say that they were subsequently re-painted and I have decided to depict them freshly painted as shown on the accompanying profile picture. I did not include 'plain' versions since they both have only the small '21' and '23' individual distinguishing markings. Speculars are used but I will change to roughmets if the developers decide to upgrade the B-17 to PBR.

DCS: World War II Assets Pack is required.

Bf109G-6 Black 14 as deployed to the Eastern Front, based at Anklam Airfield in Western Pomerania in late-1944. It may have been at Detmold earlier in 1944 and possibly Vailly-sur-Aisne in France that summer. Unable to find the names of any pilots associated with the aircraft, or its fate. Color scheme from model Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Chris Wauchop.

Fw 190A-4 of Maj. H. von Bonin, CO of JG 54, Pskov, Soviet Union, Spring 1943.Lots of additional weathering including mud splashes on undersurfaces (many of the airfields in Russia were basically dirt strips. Add the rains of April 1943 and I'm pretty sure they would be mud splattered). Tires and landing gear also mudded (and the Continental tire markings made more apparent. Revised paint chipping with more of a bare aluminum look. Some bootprints and blurry handprints.

The camouflaged version with Bort letters enabled of Flight Lieutenant A Torrance of 'A' Flight, No. 27 Squadron, RAF Mosquito at Parashuram, India, for a sortie over Burma, March 30, 1944. With the kind assistance of "Busdriver" from the IL2 Sturmovik forum and "Helles Belle" from the DCS forum, it was determined that No. 27 Squadron didn't use any letter codes on their aircraft. Special thanks to "Raptorattacker", IL2 skinner supreme for his fuel spill image which I have used and modified. Added numerous weathering "eye candy" including muddy landing gear and ground crew handprints.
