After World War 2, the Swiss Air Force purchased American surplus aircrafts like 40 North American AT-16 Harvard IIB and 130 North American P-51D Mustang. Unfortunately, no Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was bought.

This skin is a "What if the Swiss Air Force would have bought some Republic P-47 Thunderbolt" and therefore the skin is based on the Swiss AT-16 and P-51 of the same time.
