This is a follow-up mission for pursued-by-bad-luck Special Agent after the incidents of the „Secret FBI Mission“ - - because NORMANDY 2.0 is just too beautiful not to create a mission :-)

After his nocturnal amok run over Nevada, Special Agent took finally his flight to Paris, to leave behind the exhausting life of semi-legal secret operations. But alas, something went wrong and his flight was diverted to Tangmere, Great Britain. Luckily, an old school friend fr om his childhood days in France - Pierrot le fou, who now is in the French intelligence agency DGSE - offers him the possibility to transfer an old A-10 of the French Air Force to a small airfield in Normandy, wh ere a helicopter waits to take him to his parent’s cottage.

Of course Special Agent wouldn’t be Special Agent, if everything goes as planned, and so he head over heels gets involved in an undercover operation of his former school comrade with a crazy terrorist bunch, that wants to blow up beautiful Tour Eiffel :o(

And therefore, what begins as a simple and boring channel flight turns out to become Special Agent’s craziest holiday.

Once more he is the last hope with his extraordinary flying skills and a devastating load of cluster bombs, not only to save the national symbol de la Grande Nation, but even his parents!!! And NO terrorist should dare to mess around with Special Agent, when it goes against his father and mama - - then he goes on a wild rampage…

When… if Special Agent is finally touching the ground next to his parents’ cottage, a cheering crowd is already waiting to celebrate him :-)

I hope, all you skillful pilots will enjoy Special Agent’s wild crusade, which again shouldn’t be taken too seriously, but rather as a trigger-happy cannonball run with lots of triggers and A.I. voice-overs… accompanied by some favorite music tunes to keep you entertained. So follow the instructions given to you to guide your A-10 to the journey’s end.

The mission time might be roundabout 2 hours.

Please note: all the takeoffs and landings ARE POSSIBLE, though it takes skills and full concentration.

Update 12 / 2024 v2: Obviously there were some serious changes with the Mission Editor in one of the last DCS Updates, concerning the behaviour of objects, so that the initial version is not useable anymore. I changed a tiny trigger, so you now don't get a bunch of messages directly at the start anymore, which makes no sense at this moment.

Update 01 / 2025 v3: Edited a trigger: if your Mk-82 airballute  misses a submarine, you can use your cannon to damage it, and this way continue the story.

Info regarding the "Save Mission"-Function: all my missions are heavily trigger-based - even if you don't see anything happening, chances are good, that a time based trigger runs in the background. Therefore saving a mission while audio files are active or an invisible time trigger runs will mess up the system, when you start again later, because things are out of sync or completely broken. So I can't recommend the use of the "Save-Function"; it is on your own risk!
