Two hours ago, at dawn, Warsaw Pact forces launched a massive assault across the East-West German border. You are a pilot of the 81st Tactical Fighter Squadron, operating an A-10. Your task is to provide Close Air Support to US ground forces holding positions south of Fulda and to engage Soviet armored formations pushing west through the gap.

The Soviet's main effort has concentrated through the Fulda Gap, aiming for a rapid breakthrough to Frankfurt. Initial engagements south of the city of Fulda have been intense, but US V Corps elements have successfully held the first Soviet thrusts. However, the enemy is throwing in fresh armored units. Soviet reinforcements are moving towards the front line, attempting to overwhelm US defenses with sheer numbers before reinforcements can arrive. The situation is critical. If the Soviets break through here, Frankfurt will be vulnerable within hours.

Primary Objectives:

Locate and destroy Soviet armor and mechanized infantry advancing through pre-identified approach routes.

Prevent enemy units from breaking through US lines near key defensive positions.
