This F-86E Sabre was allocated to Col Francis "Gabby" Gabreski during his second tour of duty in Korea
as C.O. of the 51stth Fighter Wing.

Gabreski had been the highest scoring American ace of the ETO in WW2 and would go on to become
an ace in Korea with 3.5 kills.

I created this skin for the Hornet Productions DCS movie "Gabby".

The 51st was not marking its Sabres with their famous checkerboard tail design at this point and Gabreski
is credited with introducing it just before he returned to the USA.

Gabreski's helmet markings should have one blue flash and one red flash, but the template layout prevents
this from being recreated, so I went with red.
