This livery represents the USS Leyte Gulf, a Ticonderoga class guided missile cruiser in service with the US Navy.

The USS Leyte Gulf is a Ticonderoga class guided missile cruiser based out of Norfolk, Virginia.  She carries the hull number 55, and is one of the longest serving ships of the class (commissioned 1987).  Leyte Gulf is one of the first Ticonderoga class ships to be equipped with the Mk-41 Vertical Launch System.
