Polish ''FITTERS'' from 6ELT (2000-2006)

The 6th Tactical Aviation Squadron was established in 2000 at the airport in Powidz. 6ELT continued the tiger traditions of the 6th Fighter Bomber Aviation Regiment from Piła, dissolved in 1998. In 2003, 6ELT received most of the aircraft after 39ELT was disbanded in Świdwin. In 2006, the first F-16s arrived in Poland and the squadron, without Su-22s and employees, moved to the Poznań-Krzesiny airport and was equipped with new F-16s. Currently, 6ELT is incorporated into the 31st Tactical Air Base at the Poznań-Krzesiny airport. The squadron also participates in many NATO exercises, such as Nato Tiger Meet. Tiger! Tiger! Tiger!
