Formed in early 1995, the 46th Air Force Unit ‘Silver Eagles’ was a unit in the Ustain 6th Air Division. Being primarily a mercenary unit, Pilots in the 46th AFU were from across the globe, including Useans, Veruseans, Aneans, and many from the surrounding Osean continent.

While not nearly as impactful as other more famous 6th AD units, the 46th AFU was instrumental in support of smaller operations to liberate Ustio, and in furthering the push into Belka proper. The unit would be responsible for many air to air victories, especially in the infamous Area B7R

Due to combat losses and manpower drains following the nuclear attacks of 6 June 1995, the unit was disbanded, and its remaining personnel reassigned to reinforce other units in the 6th Air Division.

Dissatisfied with his career in the Janosian Defense Forces, at his first chance Kaito jumped at the opportunity for Mercenary work. Taking various jobs in Usea flying cover for resource mining operations, he would soon turn towards the Osean continent to make a name for himself within the Usian mercenary air wings.

Described by fellow pilots as a kind hearted man, Kaito was fond of more ‘Otaku’ habits when his time allowed. Following his death midway through the war, Ustian Mortuary services noted that his dorm room contained various plastic models in different stages of completion that was sent back to his family.
