Ever wonder how US naval aviators navigated over the trackless sea? The answer is the ubiquitous mk. 3 plotting board. Often seen under the arm of pilots manning their planes these devices were used to solve time/speed/distance navigation problems as well as the wind triangle and to act as a small area plot.

This is an app which provides a simulation of the versatile navigation tool
