The North American P-51D Mustang, s/n 44-73029, is a highly documented aircraft with a history spanning from World War II to civilian ownership. Originally built in early 1945, it was delivered to the USAAF as 44-73029 and served with the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group. After the war, it was transferred to the Ohio Air National Guard and then to the Nicaraguan Air Force before returning to the US and becoming a civilian aircraft. It has been registered as N7999A and later N51JB, and is currently flying in 361st FG colours as "Bald Eagle".
