Established in 1974, the 962nd "Red Hawks" Air Airborne Control Squadron started out flying the EC-121 Warning Star until 1986 when the first Active Duty E-3 Sentrys within the OADF were pushed to Air Guard service in favor of the new E-767.
The squadron would serve with distinction during the 1995 Belkan War, and in support of the no-fly-zone operations that followed.
Today the Red Hawks are down to a final two Airframes, lovingly dubbed "Electric Eye" and "Heimdall" which stubbornly remain as the last few examples of the 707 derivative flying to this day.

- Situation -
The British Task Force is making great progress in the offensive to retake the Falkland Islands from Argentinian control. After a succsessful march across no mans land, the 2 Para, 2nd Scots Guards, and Welsh Guards are now getting ready to retake the capital of Port Stanely. As a Sea Harrier pilot, you will be providing CAS for British ground Forces during their final push to the eastern shore. Due to our air defences watching the western coast the Argentine Air Force should not be a threat. However, enemy SAMs and AA positions around the port are still a signifigant danger to our air operations. Incase you sustain any damage or are in need of rearm/refuel San Carlos FOB is equipped to get you back in the fight.

Have about 110 units flying in this battle all ace pilots. Testing to see if DCS can handle the action. In the initial fight, the frames do drop, but does then become very stable with the new Normandy 2.0 map, and looks very good. I am excited to see what mission builders and dynamic campaign will look like in the future with how well everything runs with multithreading.
*First time posting, hopefully this is the right spot. Very simple mission, but very editable and gives you a chance to brush up on dogfighting skills.
