This "hack" or clipped wing Spitfire was designated aircraft "R" in the 308th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Group as it would of appeared when the squadron was assigned to Fano, Italy c.1944.

When you see strange checker blocks on the skins in DCS World, the "Boeing 727 Common Normal map / RoughMet Textures pack Rev3" is not installed / not set-up correctly.

A-10C II Tank Killer
(Optional) Travel from Cypra to Syria in a A-10C II or F/A-18C as warmup (45min in A-10C II)
Directly spawn in Syria or continue from your Travel and from there start the CAS Mission East of the Airfield over Hama.
You can start the Mission there by F10 Menü or just approach Hama.
JTAC will assign you Tasks from there until there nothing more to do.
2x A-10C II will be starting with you from Cypra and support.
Have Fun ;)
