This is the instructor version of the popular Mighty Wings mission. You have your choice of aircraft for the mission which includes the following: A4, F5, F14, F15, F16, and F18.
In this mission, you will airstart against eight F-14B flown by Top Gun students out of Nellis. Your job is to teach them a few things about air-to-air combat.
Each aircraft will be armed with two-to-four AIM-9 missiles and guns. Expect a furball to develop! Good luck!
The Freeware Community A-4 Mod is required for this mission. Some of the instructor skins (especially for the F-16) may be custom skins, so if you are seeing default skins, feel free to download some others and mod the mission so you see skins you enjoy. With gunfights inevitable, you want to see nice-looking targets.

AIRSTART VERSION - Here it is! The quick to play Top Gun mission you've always wanted. Fly as Maverick over the gorgeous desert landscape of Nevada and see if you can win against Jester, Viper, and the other instructors. You'll be joined by Iceman & Slider, Cougar & Merlin, and Wolfman & Hollywood. This mission features variable triggers to provide some variety and replayability, as well as some surprises. Be ready for anything! The freeware community A-4 Mod is required. This mission is designed to be quick and fun, and something you will want to fly again and again to scratch that Top Gun itch. Your comments are welcome and encouraging, so speak up if there's a question, concern, comment, or change you'd like me to make. I am responsive to your feedback and requests. This is a 4k repaint of the 2020 Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, The Blue Angels. Included are numbers 1-6, reflecting the current pilots of the real team. The paint has been up scaled to 4K quality for enhanced textures, particularly up close. This is the same paint as the "U.S. Navy Blue Angels - 2020 " repaint I have uploaded here (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308394/) but scaled to a higher size for enhanced textures in game.

MiG-21bis
Delivered to the 4th Fighter Regiment in July 1969, transfered to the 5th FR in June 1989. In May 1991 was transfered to 1st School Regiment. After the partition of Czechoslovakia was sent to Malacky in Slovakia in February 1992. Plane was used by Slovak Air Forces by 82nd Detached Fighter Squadron since January 1993.<br />
Nose art and emblem of the Pardubice city was painted closly before transfer to 5th Fighter Regiment. After transfer were all inscriptions and nose arts deleted.<br />

Doručen na 4. stíhací pluk v červenci 1969, převeden do 5. FR v červnu 1989. V květnu 1991 byl převeden na 1. školní pluk. Po rozdělení Československa bylo v únoru 1992 posláno na Slovensko do Malackého. Letadlo bylo používáno slovenskými vzdušnými silami od 82. odloučené stíhací perutě od ledna 1993.<br />
Nosní umění a znak města Pardubic byly těsně malovány před přesunem na 5. stíhací pluk. Po přenosu byly všechny nápisy a umění nosu vymazány

In the division of the property of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, Slovakia fell to the MiG-21MA 2707<br />
