Established in 1909 as the 20th Aero Squadron of the Osean Army, they would be deployed in the final months of the Osean War against Belka until the Armistice was signed in 1910. In 1938 during the ramp up to the second Osean War, the Squadron would be reactivated as the 20th Bombardment Squadron flying primarily the Martin B-10 until upgrading to the B-17 in 1940 and later the B-29 Superfortress in 1944. They would operate the B-29 until 1952, when faster aircraft such as the B-47 and later B-52 took on the role of Osea’s primary strategic bomber.
In 1965, the Squadron adopted the B-52 which it continues to fly today. The 20th Bomb Squadron has been present in every major conflict Osea has been in since. Despite the advanced age of their airframe, the 20th Bomb Squadron has shown no signs of stopping or slowing in their efforts towards excellence within the Strategic Bombing community of the Osean Air Defense Force.
