For the last few months I have been working on a BVR guide for both my squadron and for the general DCS community. It is not specifically suited to any particular aircraft, nor does it contain threat-specific info (those will come in later manuals). It is designed to be a good BVR fundamentals and concepts resource for new pilots getting into DCS, and for even experienced pilots that want to sharpen their skills. It currently focuses on single ship employment, but sometime in the not-too-far future I intend to add information on multi-ship targeting and tactics, I have tried to use RL terminology/concepts when appropriate, but there are a few concepts/terms in here that I essentially made up for a lack of better description. Enjoy!<br />

Easy to customize "Static Object" Example mod.
For people that might be a bit "lost" about adding their own models in DCS as a Mod.
Simple explanations inside the file. You can replace the original EDM and textures to quickly have your model ingame (without breaking anything ;]).
If further interest in creating your own content; take a look at the Simple and Basic Lua files. Short explanations are given to make it easier to understand

The Duluth Air National Guard Base is currently home to the 148th Fighter Wing. The 148th Fighter Wing is one of the most decorated Air National Guard fighter units in the country, winning many awards for outstanding performances, such as: The Winston P. Wilson award in 1957, The Ricks Trophy for excellence in 1967 and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award in 1979, 1988, 1999, 2008, and 2009. The most prestigious award was the Raytheon Trophy (Formerly the Hughes Trophy) also in 2009 which is given to the best fighter units in the U.S. Air Force, becoming the only fourth National Guard unit ever to win the award, and the second F-16 unit to receive the honor. The 148th Fighter Wing contains a flying squadron named the 179th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron

This will be the first of many Missions and eventually evolve into a campaign.
Welcome to Sharjah International Airport. This will be your base of operations for the next six months. You will be operating within 22nd Fighter Squadron USAF. As you know already that tensions between the West and Iran are at a breaking point. Iran is turning a blind eye on local Muslim Extremists in the south. We have daily reports of ethnic cleansing in local villages, we have also received reports that these groups plan to go further afield and directly attack holiday destinations within the UAE. This is where it gets interesting, as Iran is aware of these plans, however, has begun to directly support them. These groups are aware that US and British regularly visit these holiday locations.

This is a single mission recreation of the 1981 Gulf of Sidra incident, when two F-14s of VF-41 shot down 2 Lybian SU-22s. The mission does not only recreate the events accurately, but uses the original radio recordings as voice overs, so you can re-live what Fast Eagle 102 and 107 went through 40 years ago.
The mission comes with custom briefing and kneeboard pages, historically accurate custom skins, original radio transmissions and other voice overs by Epolta. It can also be played in Multiplayer with a human RIO.

A mission you can run either solo or with friends to practice air combat. It is meant for getting into the action quickly and resetting quickly so all aircraft are airstart so you can get many fights in over a short period of time. You can fly any air superiority fighter in DCS (essentially anything with a dedicated air to air radar). If you want to practice with a specific weapons loadout you can land at your nearby airbase to refuel/repair/rearm. AWACS can also be called up so you can get bogey calls and can practice using datalink (for those aircraft that support it). The DCS module Supercarrier is now included.
