A-10C II Tank Killer
Desert Storm Scud Hunt mission for A-10 C II , F-16 C , F/A-18 C. Various mobile launch sites, some scud convoy`s, artillery site and Radar site. Various Radar and IR SR/MR SAM systems and just a few triggers to make it a bit more interesting. Check out the mission planner/briefing for more details. I left the date in game , as selecting january/february makes some structures default white, and yes the A-10 has a tgp selected i know. I made this mostly for myself flying the A-10, you might want to give the Mig`s some more backup flying the Viper/ Hornet. Or just delete them, customize the mission/loadout as you want. Another mission of me trying to tribute my favourite game of all times: Ace Combat 5. When I started this project this was the first Ace Combat mission I made, now I upgraded it a little, fixing minor things.
Back on Sand Island, Wardog discovers that its vice commander Allen C. Hamilton is a traitor when he tries to kill them and, failing that, labels them and their mechanic Wolfgang Buchner as traitors instead. Blaze, Nagase, Grimm, Buchner, journalist Albert Gennette, and Chopper's dog Kirk escape Sand Island on four Hawk T.1s, pursued by the 8492nd. Buchner, revealed to be a former Belkan ace, leads the Wardog planes through a nearby island to shake off the pursuers. They eventually escape into the open sea and run into the OFS Kestrel's pilot Marcus Snow. Snow signals them to trust him and bail out, which they do. He then shoots down their planes and declares the Wardog dead, while Sea Goblin helicopters from the Kestrel secretly picks them up.

Following the 9/11 attacks, NATO forces liberated Afghanistan from the Al Qaida/Taliban alliance.
Insurgent activity in the region remains elevated, with NATO forces increasingly challenged to secure objectives established by the suits in Washington.
This mission is variable, with each start randomly selecting 1 of 2 available tasks -- see below.
*** Task 1: SEAL Team 10 is conducting operations in the mountains south of Chaghcharan.
Your are tasked with providing air support if required.
Task 2: An US Army convoy left Camp Bastion at 3:00, conducting RECON in the surrounding villages. In recent weeks, insurgent activity has increased, indicating an organized effort to repel the NATO presence in the area.**
AWACS and a K135 Tanker are available to support CAS operations.

On their way back from Cruik Fortress, the Wardog rendezvous with an allied escort, which turns out to be the 8492nd Squadron. The 8492nd opens fire on Wardog, and the latter successfully escapes and races for Sand Island to report the incident.
