With the deactivation of the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in 2014, F-15C ‘Eagle’s assigned to the unit would be sent to other F-15 squadrons in the wider USAF, most notably to the Oregon and California Air National Guard 114th and 194th Fighter Squadrons. Updated with Air National Guard Emblems, and new unit-specific Tail Flashes, these Desert Aggressors were folded into regular air operations conducted by the two units until June of 2014.

The 194th Fighter Squadron (194 FS) is a unit of the California Air National Guard's 144th Fighter Wing (144 FW) at Fresno Air National Guard Base, California. The 194th is equipped with the F-15 Eagle and like its parent wing, the 144th, is operationally-gained within the active U.S. Air Force by the Air Combat Command (ACC).

The 162nd Fighter Wing (162 FW sometimes 162d) is a unit of the Arizona Air National Guard, stationed at Tucson Air National Guard Base, Arizona. If activated to federal service, the wing is gained by the United States Air Force Air Education and Training Command. The primary mission of the 162nd Fighter Wing is education and flight training of international F-16 Fighting Falcon aircrews.
