Established in the late 1940’s, the 23rd Bomb Squadron ‘Bomb Bats’ would be Osea’s fist when the time for strategic - or nuclear- bombing was required. They would live up to their nocturnal name during the still controversial Hoffnung Raid in 1995 during the Belkan War, where the Squadron, as well as others, helped lay the industrial city to waste with over a million and a half pounds of explosives dropped on the city.
During the Circum-Pacific War, the Bomb Bats conducted critical interdiction missions, targeting Yuktobanian supply lines and command centers with devastating effect. Their legacy continues, with the squadron’s skilled aviators ready to deliver precision strikes and project Osean air power across the globe.
Today, the Bats still serve as a symbol of Osea’s Long-Range strategic strike capacity. No matter the time or place - the Bomb Bats will be there.
