This mission is a recreation of a sortie that was ordered on the first day of Desert Storm (Jan 17, 1991).
Note: Geographically, Iran has been substituted for Iraq.
4 F-18s were tasked with bombing the H3 airbase in western Iraq. They were accompanied by 6 F-15s and a Hawkeye early warning aircraft. The number and types of aircraft on both sides, and the order of events are accurately represented but everything else (weather, distance/altitude, weapons, etc.) is my best estimate.

After emerging from a sudden and intense electrical storm, the fleet checks in with Mother.
“Report!” the captain barked.
“All fleet vessels respond: no damage but GPS systems are down, including ours. Otherwise, no damage is registered from the storm.”
“What do you mean, down?”
“I don’t know how to explain it, Captain. It’s as if the GPS satellite network is no longer there. It’s just GONE.”
While the captain attempted to process the emerging situation, the Comms officer bounded from his chair. “Captain! Captain! You’ve got to hear this.”
“On speaker,” the captain ordered.
“Well now, Germans are dive-bombing a convoy out into sea...there are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven German dive-bombers - Junkers 87s - there's one going down on its target now...

This is the first of a series of missions that will involve a conflict that flares up in the Persian Gulf. When the President agreed with the Joint Chiefs of Staff on their recommendation to invade IRAN, he made one requirement before approval. Send in a rescue team to bring out of IRAN the CIA operative and top senior nuclear spy. With knowledge of the Iranian nuclear project's most vital secrets, it was crucial he be extracted before the invasion. Tracked and located in Bandar-e Lergeh this mission must succeed.

Military Command has selected two target area for this operation. Sector 28A, the Minab Dam Sector 62P, The Islamic Republic of Iran Southern Railyard.
These target areas are essential in containing the growth of military grade materials for the Iranian Nuclear Program.
The Minab Dam is gearing up to produce high outputs of electricity and the rail yard in critical in stopping the transportation of materials.
This mission is the continuation of prior operations in the area; Operation Knockout, Operation Krypton and Operation Top Down.
Operational orders came with the President’s approval for these two strikes.
Mission Air Threats: Consist of SAM sites, AAA, and MIGs. MIGs/F-4s are on alert in both locations.

A small group of Dubai's elite have staged a coup. They have taken over the city itself and most of the northern Arabian Peninsula with the help of several local militia groups; as well as parts of the UAE Airforce, Army, and Navy. A small number of mercenaries, including several from the famed "Wagner Group" have also join the Rebels' cause. They have erected formidable defenses, including a massive SAM net, a small blockade fleet, SCUD missiles, tanks, APCs, and a gun seemingly behind every door. Much of which, is thought to have been supplied by Iran. Following a bold SCUD missile attack on Al Dhafra AFB, the USS John C Stennis and her strike group, CVSG-74; as well as her air wing, CVW-15, have been dispatched to the Gulf of Oman to deliver the first blow of the American counterattack. Requires JDAMs in PP mode, AAR, and carrier night ops. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, new missions coming soon.

The Iraqi ships retreating eastward towards Iran managed to get past us last night. We located them this morning very close to the Iranian maritime border.
Destroy the ships before they enter Iranian waters.
