You are "comrade air patrol", a fearless aviator of the warshaw pact member Pagan People's Republic (PPR). After soviet forces were pushed out of the Marianas during the thrilling events of "Commies in Paradise" (1970ies), the northern Marianas went to the Free Mariana Islands Coalition (FMIC), which have recently lost their NATO membership due to various political dealings. The FMIC can now be attacked without risking a conflict with NATO.
Now in the 1990ies, the PPR is resurging with the backing of the warshaw pact and out to get their northern Marianas territory back from the "weak and illegitimate" FMIC. PPR air forces is one Su-25, operating from a small airstrip on Pagan Island. The ground pounder will be called upon to fulfill what it was designed for... and more.
The FMIC uses WWII era to 1960ies aircraft.
