This mission is a companion to the previously-published Thuyen Lua Torpedo Boat Base strike (CV31-20):

This mission is flown from the other carrier in the combined strike--the USS Forrestal (CV-59), attacking the target from the opposite direction.
Your objective is similar to the original mission: to take a functional, modern torpedo boat base and leave it burning and significantly less functional. Your assigned target: the cargo-handling facility on the northern side of the base.
You and your wingman are on the catapults. Finish preparations and launch as soon as you're ready. Join up with the strike group, hit your target and get back here. We're probably going to be doing a lot more of this.

Strike operations continue against the airbase under construction on enemy-held ROTA island. Intel believes the airfield is close to operational status.
Our strike yesterday was successful in suppressing the one known SAM site, but it was not knocked out. Iron Hand elements will be tasked with hitting that site again, in conjunction with an alpha strike against the airfield.
Bon Homme Richard (CV-31), steaming northwest of the target, is sending the alpha strike. You will lead the final element of the strike. Your job is to put craters in that runway. We're depending on you to keep the enemy on the ground.
USS Forrestal (CV59) will send flakbusters and Iron Hand elements from the southeast.
Fly smart, do damage, and try not to get yourself shot up.

USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31)
On Yankee Station
Vinh is one of the enemy's main industrial centers and a transportation crossroads. Our target today is a logistics chokepoint in the middle of the city.
The Sacred Cao River bisects the city and is a major barrier to ground transportation. Most materiel is funneled via three large bridges--two railroad spans, plus a highway bridge. The enemy devotes a lot of resources towards defending these crossings and repairing them when we hit them. And now they're up again.
You and your wingman are on the bow catapults. Launch when commanded and go take out your target: the northern railroad bridge.
Beware of SAM and the plentiful AAA. Fly smart, get in, get out, and leave twisted iron in your wake.

The USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31) air group is tasked this morning with neutralizing an enemy MiG base at Banh Minh* ahead of a planned strike against the nearby Dao Jones Bridge this afternoon. It is critically important for this runway to be put out of action. (* playing the role of Banh Minh: Batumi, Caucasus map)
If any MiGs do manage to get into the air, F-4's from VF-111 (Sundowners) are on hand as escort. Air defenses are limited to AAA, but there's plenty of it. Get in, get out, fly smart, and above all, put some holes in that runway.
This mission is part one of two parts. The second part is the strike against the bridge.
