A vintage skin of a vintage Viper.
This F-16C was stationed at Ramstein airbase as part of the 526th TFS.
During the Flugtag 87, a handfull of Vipers recieved a special paint scheme.
This was one of them. And the others... hopefully soon.

Skin for the CH-47F Chinook depicting a USAF SOC HH-47. In 2006, a special operations Chinook helicopter indeed won a competition for the US Air Force's new combat search and rescue helicopter. Four prototypes were built. The contract however was scrapped after some legal issues - anyway, since I love CSAR missions, I took some liberty and created a USAF livery, oriented on the prototypes, but also the mighty MH-53 Pave Low. Have fun!

Established in 1942 as an incorporation of No,133 Squadron into the US Army Air Force, the 336th Fighter Squadron saw combat in WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam with aircraft such as the P-51 and F-4E, but they would reach their current form in 1988 when they became the first operational squadron for the Strike Eagle. There would be little delay until their first combat in the new jets, with the 4th Fighter Wing being a part of Operation Desert Storm in January of 1991. Over the course of the relatively short conflict the 4th FW had more than proved the F-15E's worth, with the 336th FS alone flying 1,100 combat sorties and dropping approximately 6.5 million pounds of ordnance. The Rocketeers remain with the Strike Eagle to this day

The 390th ECS "Wild Boars" is a USAF EA-18G squadron based at Mountain Home AFB but is deployed to NASWI in Oak Harbor Washington. 390th Pilots are USAF but go through Navy pilot training in order to learn to fly the Growler. VAQ-129 has a handful of jets painted with the 390th ECS logo which these skins represent. 390th pilots embed with all of the Navy's expeditionary Growler squadrons at NASWI.
