PB Transformer was a USMC patrol base initially set up by 3rd Bn 5th Marines in 2010 and then occupied by 1/5. 1/5 handed the PB over to Bravo Co, 3rd platoon, 3rd recon Bn in late summer of 2011. It was located directly on 611 north of FOB Jackson and south of PB Alcatraz.

PB Alcatraz c. summer 2011 as it began receiving more Marines and thus more support. It was located on route 611 north of FOB Jackson. During this time period it was the northern most outpost in the Upper Sangin Valley before reaching FOB Zeebrugge in Kajaki.
