The 324th Tactical Fighter Squadron ‘Skullcatchers’ was a vital component of Osea’s forward-deployed airpower in the Usean Theatre during the mid 1960’s through the early 1990s. Flying the well known F-4E Phantom II, the Skullcatchers specialized in multi-role missions from air superiority and close air support to precision strikes against hardened targets.
During various border conflicts the squadron was deployed to help contain, they would be recognized for their aggressive tactics, reflected in the units insignia of a skull and bayonet. Established in 1950 as the 195th Fighter Interceptor squadron, the unit would not become the Tanker force it would be known for today until the mid 1960s, when they traded their Mach 2 capable F-104 Starfighters for the far slower four engine C-97 Stratofreighter, and would assist in moving Osean personnel around the world. In 1972, the squadron would change aircraft and missions yet again, this time in the form of the KC-135A Stratotanker. The 195th Air Refueling Squadron has provided a critical backbone to Osean air operations, acting as one of the few Nuclear Mission Capable squadrons until the Osean total disarmament in 2000 as well as flying combat sorties during the 1995 Belkan War and 1997 Usean Coup Detat. During Ulysses planetfall, the 195th was dispatched to transport medical aid to affected areas, and aid in the evacuation of Oseans deployed abroad during the disaster. As one of the last KC-135 operators within the OADF, its expected the unit will receive the KC-46 by 2030.

Following the end of the Circum-Pacific War, it was made somewhat clear that the Osean Air Defense Force was incapable of handling localized threats to the country, as seen with the attacks in Apito, and Bana, as well as full blown assaults elsewhere in the country. As a result a multitude of states set aside budgetary items to reinforce their own National Guard bureaus.
The Manalopan Parliament had a novel idea in aircraft selection when the OADF granted the 184th Fighter Squadron to the state's National Guard. A competition between the F-16, Typhoon and Mirage was held, with Parliamentary leaders choosing the Typhoon for the organization.
Entering IOC in late 2017, the “Hooligans” are still an inexperienced Squadron, and have been eager to prove themselves in combat.

F-5E Tiger
“Antiquated” is a term that best describes the 307th Tactical Fighter Squadron, also known as the “Warlords”. Flying a fighter that had been largely phased out by the Osean Military nearly a decade earlier for combat roles, the Warlords have prided themselves on being the last of a dying breed of fighter-pilot. While the F-5 provides little in the way of air superiority with its limited range and lack of air-to-air options, the Pilots of the 307th have instead made their mission supporting COIN operations around the world along with air interdiction services in critical areas where modern fighters such as the F-16 would not be able to perform.

Established in 1945 as a P-38 Squadron, the Crimson Aces would serve in the Osean Air Force for a handful of months until the Second Osean Wars ending and the subsequent dissolution of the Osean Air Force in 1946. The unit would be reactivated a few years later in 1950 by the Osean Air Defense Force as a principal unit of the Shenandoah Air Guard, flying older P-51D fighters. The Squadron would not see much service into the Jet Age, flying F-86s around Comona Islands during the FCUs opening days of Space Exploration.
The Squadron would see limited deployment during the Belkan War, now flying F-4E Phantoms, they were a critical component In the Interdiction of nuclear armed Belkan Bombers while forward deployed to Usea. The Squadron would see action fifteen years later helping counter the insurgent faction in Sudentor along with Coalition forces.
Today the Squadron still operates the venerable F-4E, geographically separate from the rest of their wing.

In the 1960s during the ramp up of hostilities in the Clavis region, the budding need for Tactical Electronic Warfare became apparent and like many squadrons, the Bones found themselves trading their F-100s for the bigger, slower, EB-66 to provide electronic countermeasures for F-105 and B-52 bombing raids. With the full divestment of the EB-66 in 1980, the Bones would be the first Air National Guard unit to receive the EF-111 ‘Spark-Vark’, a EW variant of the venerable F-111 Tactical Bomber.

Based out of the state of Braunstein, the 285th was established in 1993 flying the F-20A Tigershark.
The Unit would first see action during the opening hours of the Belkan War, where due to their close proximity to the frontline, their F-20s were some of the first on station to support besieged Osean Forces.
The squadron would help hold the line for two days until OADF reinforcements arrived in enough strength to relieve the unit.
In 2007, the squadrons F-20s would be retired in favor of the JF-17C fighter, which they still fly out of Robbins AFB.

Following the end of the Second Continental War, The Raging Oni were left in limbo at Gardos Air Base between the Osean force restructuring and IUN retaking oversight of the ISEV’s security. Relegated to mostly uneventful combat-air-patrols around the Anchorhead Bay region.
In December of 2021 it was decided for the 4th TFS to be transferred under the command of the newly established 224th Fighter Wing based at Roca Roja airbase in eastern Usea.
Despite the initial grumblings from the pilots and maintainers about the less-than-illustrious assignment, their stationing in the middle of the desert has taught them invaluable lessons on the limitations of their airframes and providing more hostilities than enemy counter air or ground fire.

F-16C Viper
Spots of blue in a sea of brown. This is one of many reasons that the 12th Tactical Fighter Squadron 'Ronin' stand out in the deserts of Roca Roja. The once solitary island lifestyle the squadron once enjoyed has been replaced with an ever expanding role in ensuring the security of Usea.
Now the Ronin work to supplement the F-15Es capabilities as an adept strike fighter, filling out the spine of the 224th Fighter Wing.
