Bulk carrier “Baltic wind” has left the Persian gulf a week ago, sailed through the Red sea and Suez channel and took a diversion course around Cyprus. It is now sailing towards the port of Latakia, Syria.
It is suspected that the ship is carrying advanced precision weapons to Hezbollah - these weapons could be a game changer in the threat imposed by them.
Air reconnaissance flights was able to pinpoint its location and it’s time to board it before she get too close to the Syrian coast.
It is essential that we capture the ship and recover its cargo for further investigation.
A Shayetet 13 team was assembled and trained to board it.
