The 117th Tactical Fighter Squadron, known to all as the "Thunderheads," is a formidable force equipped with the mighty F-15E Strike Eagles. These skilled pilots not only defend their homeland but also uphold the proud traditions and values of the region they serve.
Established following the regional instability of the Belkan War in 1995, the Thunderheads were tasked with the aim of rapid response to emerging threats, the squadron has become an essential component of the Air National Guard, showcasing a commitment to safeguarding the skies and the people of their State
Operating out of Day Air Force Base outside of Wesson, the Thunderheads are responsible for a wide range of vital missions, including air superiority, ground attack, and close air support. As an indispensable asset, the Thunderheads have made multiple combat deployments, including during both the Circum Pacific and Lighthouse Wars.
