A-10C Special Operations version ( fictional) Although Special Operations is a real thing, this unit is fictional. The color scheme has been adjusted to the current correct color scheme (It's slightly the wrong color in the game) so I corrected that. All markings etc are as real as they would be had this been an actual paint scheme. I hope you enjoy this A-10C

The 163rd Fighter Squadron is a unit of the Indiana Air National Guard, stationed at Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base. As part of the 122nd Fighter Wing, the squadron has a distinguished history dating back to World War II, where it originally served as the 365th Fighter Squadron. A depiction of A-10A, SN 80-221, of the USAF 18th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Eielson AFB, Alaska, in 1981. This aircraft featured the experimental Arctic camouflage pattern known as the "Snowhog," designed for operations in snowy, cold-weather environments. The scheme consists of irregular black patches on a white background meant to blend the aircraft with its surrounding winter landscape. Though officially confirmed to have been applied to only one aircraft, it's speculated that up to three aircraft may have donned the livery during testing phases. This camouflage was never fully adopted by the USAF and was used during Operation Cool Snow Hog.

A-10C II livery based on A-10As of the Wisconsin National Guard (176th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 128th Tactical Fighter Wing).
The 128th TFW did not use the upgraded A-10Cs in reality (only the A-10As), but this livery was requested by another user, so I made it.
Note: Screenshot is of A-10A, as I was too lazy to go back into DCS and take another screenshot of the C instead :)

A-10A livery based on real life A-10s of the Wisconsin National Guard (176th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 128th Tactical Fighter Wing).
The Wisconsin Air National Guard began operating the A-10A in October of 1981, replacing the OA-37, and were based at Truax Field ANGB, in Madison, WI.
In April of 1993, the A-10A was replaced by the F-16C, and the 128th TFW was reorganized into the 115th FW.
