April 1991 : unusual troop movements in Kola peninsula have been detected with satellites but due to jamming, NATO intelligence services can't tell what it is. An SF-37 Viggen has been sent for a recon flight. Unfortunetaly it has been shot down by enemy fighters. Soviet Union apologied for this mistake but such an incident reinforces the feeling that something is in preparation behind border. In this tricky situation France decided to send a Mirage 2000C squadron in Finland for support.
