Accurate to how N1451D was in the 2010s with her Checkerboard Clan scheme, this is a highly-polished P51 scheme. It was based in Colorado until it crashed in 2014, and I believe the aircraft is now in California.

P51D Mustang - Dallas Doll
This skin is done as she is now as NL210D - fresh from Midwest Aeros' shop in the USA. This Mustang is representing a 352nd FS P51 based at Raydon in late 1944 with the yellow/black checkerboards. I've done it as accurate as I can to how it is now, so it is completely clean and just the bare alclad which is why parts of it are so shiny. The dull strips of metal are from the acid-etching process, with the wings and rudder being painted silver rather than the bare metal like on the middle of the fuselage and the flaps.

P-51D s/n 44-133 WR-Z ‘The Hun Hunter \ Texas’ flown by Capt. Henry W ‘Baby’ Brown pf the 354th FS, 355TH FG. Henry Brown was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross to go with the Silver Star, multiple Distinguished Flying Crosses and Air Medals, and Purple Heart. He tallied 14 air-to-air victories before being shot down and captured on October 3, 1944.

P-51D Mustang Serial No. 44-13521 was built at North American Aviation's Inglewood plant, California. It was shipped to England on 6 June 1944, was taken in charge on 30 June 1944 and assigned to the 504th Fighter Squadron, part of the 339th Fighter Group, based at Fowlmere, Cambridgeshire. Her assigned pilot was Captain Bradford V. Stevens, who gave her the name 'Marinell'. She had four confirmed aerial victories to her credit.
44-13521 was lost on 13 August 1944, while on a fighter/bomber mission to Saint Quentin, Feuquières, Beauvais and Saint Omer, with 2nd Lt. Myer R. Winkelman at the controls. The exact cause of the crash is not known, although it might have been due to a Flak hit. Missing Air Crew Report - MACR 7775.
