On January 1st 2004 RDAF 730 Fighter Squadron celebrated its 50 year anniversary at Fighter Wing Skrydstrup.
730 FS has participated in numerous international operations as, Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, Air Policing Baltic States, Iceland Air Policing and Surveillance, Odyssey Dawn and Unified Protector.
The squadron callsign is: ‘BIRDSONG’, named after the brewery Fuglsang in Haderslev near Fighter Wing Skrydstrup.
The tail art resembles the Cimbrerbull that has been called a symbol of the longing and zest for life of the well-known Cimbri tribe.

This Royal Danish Air Force F-16AM was painted in the same scheme as the Danish F-35A Lightning II's.
On December 17th 2020 this airframe was announced and is the second airframe featuring this color.
The other aircraft is E-005.
The paint scheme was done, during the F-16 SLSP modification programme at Transport Wing Aalborg.
E-011 features low visibility roundels/flag and USAF Armarillo/USN Stencil fonts.
Updated 14-09-2021
Structural reinforcements and vertical stabilizer spotlight by Roughmaster (Gunfighter06).
Updated with new stencils.
New placement for the 011 registration next to the nose cone.

In 1942 three Danish Spitfire Vb’s supported the allies during WWII flying out of RAF Station Ibsley.
The aircraft were named:
NIELS EBBESEN - BL855 - AZ-U
SKAGEN Ind - BL924 - AZ-G
VALDEMAR ATTERDAG - BL831 - AZ-K
