History according to GOOGLE:
Starting June 9, the American engineers of the 834th Engineer Aviation Battalion build an aerodrome called ALG A-01, one kilometer east of the battery. The furious fights that took place in the area delayed its installation which ends June 13. The airfield became the main base of the 366th Fighter Group until August 25 and remained operational until September 5, 1944.

Opened in 1944, Lymington was a prototype for the type of temporary Advanced Landing Ground type airfield which would be built in France after D-Day, when the need for advanced landing fields would become urgent as the Allied forces moved east across France and Germany. It was used by the Royal Air Force, Canadian and the United States Army Air Forces. It was closed in 1946 after two years of being utilized as a storage area for the Royal Navy.
Lymington was known as USAAF Station AAF-551 for security reasons by the USAAF during the war, and by which it was referred to instead of location. Its USAAF Station Code was "LY".

I DO APOLOGIZE: I forgot to set this airfield up so a person can land and rearm. IF you download this base, just remember to place an active TRUCK BEDFORD on the airfield so you can refuel and rearm. I DO APOLOGIZE....I will not overlook this in the future

I did this airfield before but it was for Normandy 1944 map. When Normandy2 released, because there are more static objects on the airfield, I used the same airfield but I had to move a lot of static objects because they are in the middle of the tents with Normandy2 update.

This is a ground attack mission for the Mosquito, Mustang, or Thunderbolt with a dynamic air-to-air component. Enemy aircraft will come at different times, locations, directions, and altitudes between 500 and 15000 feet. You may encounter bombers (Ju-88s) or fighters (Bf-109s or FW-190s). I wanted a mission that: (1) could be played in an hour or less; (2) included both air-to-ground and air-to-air; (3) included variable elements so no two missions were alike; and (4) was fun but not punishing.

The US have landed in Dieppe, trying to advance into the City as the German Panzer squads hold them back.
Meanwhile, German forces are taking to the sky to relive another Raid two years after they flew the Ramsgate Murder Raid, this time targetting Manston and the US hordes of Bombers..
Pick a side, and decide how you want to play.
If the Red side destroys all Bombers at Manston Blue Lose (this will happen automatically and takes 2.5 hours)..
To Win, Blue must destroy all Fighter Bombers, Or Ground units at Dieppe before all the Bombers at Manston are destroyed..
You can either join in with the Red side and hurry things up.
Or join the blue side and destroy the advancing forces.
There are Mini missions that can alter the game meaning you can dogfight, or bomb targets.
