This template adds military POIs (SAM, EWR, Bases, HQs and more) to the German Cold War (CW) map. The mod is designed for players who want to create realistic scenarios or campaigns.
Mission designers can use the included scripts to automate complex operations with MIST, MOOSE, Skynet IADS, CTLD and Splash Damage. The IPs in the Mission Editor also provide detailed information on the regiments and assets used.

Update: As of DCS 2.9.12.5336 - 20.01.2025 mod is not working 100%. The man goal of eliminating distant flat shadows and removing far cascades are not working any more. I can only bump the bitmap resolution of shadow maps which improves quality but at a cost of performance hit. You will also still see the changing shadows when the cascade limits pass over them. ED apparently hardcoded that part somewhere else where I guess. Let's see if I can find a solution thanks.

Optimized for performance. Medium shadows setting already gives better quality shadows than vanilla high so this should be good for almost anyone. If you set it high that's a setting never existed in DCS but can be hard on your system (but looks phenomenal).
You need to set SSS on to be able to use it. Otherwise you will not get distant shadows.
This mod breaks integrity check. Turn off secondary shadows (I did not test it with it). Link is compatible with mod managers.

This package contains a CombatFlite file and simple PNG map giving references for some key landmarks around Northern Israel and its borders with Syria and Lebanon. It is my hope that those details would assist in creating some realistic and interesting scenarios in that area of the Syria theatre.

CGTC is an alternative package to improve the looks of the Caucasus map of DCS World with extensively overhauled ground related textures.
It was tested and made compatible with DCS 2.84 (but should be compatible with later versions) and does work with older versions as well (from 2.5 and up).
