This campaign is loosely inspired in real events during the Salomons Island USMC campaign flying the F4U and some other historical events. Anyway, everything is fictional in the end, but a fun way to use the DCS F4U offline.
I learnt a lot about the Mission and Campaign Editors and the missions increase in their complexity. Do not be naive and think that mission 3 and 5 are the same, not even close and wait for surprises.
Finally, I though a 7(+1 on vs 1.2) mission campaign is enough, being 4 landing in a field and 4 landing in a Carrier.

OH-58D Kiowa Warrior
Take on the role of an OH-58D pilot over Afghanistan before and during "Operation Moshtarak", part of a larger operation called "Enduring Freedom"! This is a single player campaign, payware quality but for free. You need the Polychop Simulation module - OH-58D "Kiowa Warrior", as well as a map of Afghanistan for DCS (the whole map or the western-south part).
Note (important!): before starting the campaign, be sure to read the whole manual (DOC folder). There you will find a historical background, important notes, tips and FAQs. To complete the set you also need to download the dedicated my skin for the OH-58D.

This is a generic skin for the free campaign "Through the desert dust" for the OH-58D "Kiowa Warrior". You must have it for the campaign to work properly. Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet is a series of 4 training campaigns for the ED F/A-18C covering navigation, air-to-ground, air-to-air and carrier operations. However, it was not fully completed and was originally released by Gunthrek as is. Bagel Fixpack Edition combines these campaigns into one collection and includes over 50 fixes, corrections and improvements. However, some bugs may still remain. Please report if you find any.

It also includes the final exam, a cumulative test of all the skills you learned throughout the entire course of training.
