This is a 'translation' of the paint scheme worn by XV484 while in service on 23 Sqn, roughly how it appeared in 1983. During this period, 23 Sqn was deployed to RAF Stanley in the Falkland Islands to provide an RAF presence in the wake of the Falklands War the previous year. As part of this deployment, 23 Sqn aircraft sported the crest of the islands on the nose.

This is a 'translation' of the paint scheme worn by XT896 while in service on 228 OCU, roughly how it appeared in 1989. Due to differences in the model geometry, it is not an 'exact' replica of the FGR.2, but it is close enough for now!

228 Operational Conversion Unit was the Phantom training squadron for the RAF, and had a wartime 'shadow' designation of 64 Sqn.
