VX-4 was based at NAS Pt. Mugu from 1952-1994, when their airframes and assets were merged into VX-9. This aircraft, XF-33, carried multiple paint schemes during its lifetime. This represents the short-lived scheme VX-4 carried in 1974. Includes custom pilot helmets, flightsuits, and drop tank textures (fictional). All comments/questions welcome.

VX-4, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four, (AIRTEVRON FOUR), commonly referred to by its nickname, 'The Evaluators', was a United States Navy air test and evaluation squadron based at Naval Air Station Point Mugu, California. Their tail code was XF, and they flew the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom, and the General Dynamics F-16N Sea Viper. Their radio callsign is 'Vandy'
