This mission might give you some more CASE III variety and challenge than the default CASE III mission that comes with the Supercarrier module. It'll also force you to use and rely on your cockpit instruments.

The fifth mission in the "Prelude" series. As invasion plans proceed, the US Navy and Allied forces continue to ramp up operations after "The Prelude", "The Initial", "The Resolute", and attack on Kuh-e-Shab Mountain". You're on ready alert. It's 2 AM. Report comes in that a guided missile frigate has become disabled on a reef after pursuing gunboats. Peppered initially by a few ground troops, spotter planes have just arrived and artillery and motorized armed convoys are expected to be called in to attack the disabled ship. With full moon conditions a quick strike is required. All efforts must be made to protect the disabled frigate from mechanized and emplaced artillery .

This is the second of a series of Persian Gulf combat missions. Strike on Hormoud power facility. With the rescue of the CIA operative versed in Iranian nuclear secrets during The Prelude mission, the President has given the go ahead for the invasion. To begin the initial phase, the Hormoud power facility and it's surrounding equipment and resources have been targeted to reduce available electric power generated for coastal emplacements. <br />

Persian Gulf map, Supercarrier and F/A-18 required. Minimal static objects to keep frame rate high. Nil threats.
Night Carrier recovery and tanking qualification. Take off from the carrier and follow the pattern back for a CASE III recovery. Then launch again and fly to a tanker before conducting another CASE III landing.
You will start cold and dark on the deck of the Supercarrier. While you start up, enjoy the light show from the ship’s company exercising the carrier’s awesome defensive weapons on some drones.
