This skin depicts a Hornet that was actually flown by VFA-106 Gladiators but painted in the colours
of VFA-15 "Valions" to commemorate the deactivation of VFA-15 in 2017 after 75 years of service.
The colour scheme is in the style of the A-7E Corsairs that VFA-15 flew prior to transitioning to the Hornet.
The inner surfaces of both vertical tails bare the names and dates of command of every C.O. of the "Valions"
during that 75 years.

Sporting what must be one of the most dramatic examples of nose art ever applied to a military aircraft...ever,
"Chippy Ho!" was a Hornet with the US Navy's VFA-195 "Dambusters" and was assigned to Capt Brian Calhoun during
his time as CAG aboard the USS Independence.

I commissioned whisky.actual to create this skin for the free "H-60 Project" UH-60L mod. It's a Vietnam-era HAL-3 "Seawolves" inspired livery that was painted on an actual Navy HSC-84 "Red Wolves" helo for the "Centennial of Naval Aviation" celebration in 2011. The original aircraft is an HH-60H "Rescue Hawk", BuNo 163787, aka "Seawolf 202". There are many differences between the UH-60L and HH-60H, so some artistic license was required for our goal of capturing the spirit and inspiration behind this unique livery. It's a small way to show my appreciation for all the Navy's special operations support squadrons and I hope we've been able to do that here. For comparison, the last screenshot picture is the actual "Seawolf 202".

Custom roughness and bump maps, fictionalized plane captain and sailor of the year names, cruise patch, and subtle base texture touch ups are also featured. Custom textures for the TF-30, LANTIRN, AIM-9, AIM-7 and AIM-54 included. Livery created with GIMP. Base texture is from the Heatblur paint kit. Landing gear touch ups by Smiley/Flash.
