While derogatory comments could be made about the work ethic of those assigned to the 121st Fighter Intercept Squadron, what cannot be challenged or derided is the combat ability of the Copperheads Vipers and Mirages.
Stationed at Enzio Air National Guard base in the deserts north of Gracemeria, the 121st has proven time and again to be one of the most combat-effective squadrons within the Air National Guard, challenging the likes of active duty units such as of the 1st or 8th Air Divisions.
Pilots assigned to the Copperheads enjoy a more relaxed nature of the reservist squadron, allowing many the flexibility and stability of civilian life along with their military duties. In every military readiness drill though, the 121st has been able to rise to the occasion, and time will tell if this streak will continue into a real conflict.

Established in 1944, flying the P-47 Thunderbolt, the Roosters have been a mainstay of the First Fighter Division in Mante, Emmeria. Alongside the 1st Fighter Squadron ‘Aurelius’, and 52nd Fighter Squadron ‘Joker’; they stand on Emmerias eastern border, keeping a watchful eye on their longtime geopolitical rival across the line.
The Roosters came to some limited attention in 1995 During the Belkan War. While not committing any combat forces to the conflict, Emmeria underscored their support of the refugees displaced by the conflict and set about a massive Airlift operation moving supplies from Anea into Osea. Escorting this mission was multiple units in the REAF, Including the 16th FS.

Established in 1966, the 15º Gruppo, commonly known as Windhover Squadron, is a component of the 8º Stormo flying out of Gracemeria AFB to defend the capital city of Emmeria. During the celebrations for the squadron's 50th anniversary in 2016 Estovakia invaded, with the element of surprise pushing Emmerian forces west to the island of Khesed, including the 8º Stormo and Windhover along with it. Flying throughout the war alongside their more famous sister squadron, 28º Gruppo "Garuda" flying the F-15EM Attack Eagle, the 15º put up a fierce resistance to the invading forces, ultimately managing to push the Estovakians back completely and liberating all of the occupied territory. Shortly thereafter, alongside Osean naval forces, the Emmerians destroyed the Chandelier railgun complex in the eastern sea. This aircraft, 12-0032, was piloted by the unit's commanding officer, Mag. Daniel Pollini who scored 23 kills throughout the conflict including one member of the infamous Strigon Squadron

One of the few Emmerian Units in Khesed, the 120th Fighter Interceptor Squadron has a critical role in the defense of the Western part of Emmeria. Not only intercepting suspicious traffic within the Khesed Strait, but as well being the alert squadron for most of the Island, thanks to Bauer Air National Guard Bases strategic location at the heart of the Island.
Pilots here have flown and mastered the special built F-16A ADF, but as of Q4 of 2013 have been receiving specially modified Mirage 2000C to replace the aging vipers, however budget concerns have limited the aircraft, stifled their supply of the better Super 350 BVR missile and hamstrung the squadron with AIM-7 missiles of questionable reliability and F-16s with longer service careers than most General officers.

One of the few reserve components of the Emmerian Air Force, the Copperheads pride themselves being prepared for any intercept missions sent their way and protecting the skies above Emmeria. Flying hand-me-down Mirages and F-16's; Many of the pilots like the 121st for its less strict nature and the stability the Guard component provides over that of the active-duty air force.
