Established in the late 1940s, The 482nd Fighter Squadron "Gators" would originally be assigned to the F-51 Mustang before transitioning to jet-powered aircraft such as the F-84 Thunderjet and later the F-4 Phantom II. In the 1980s, the squadron became one of the first Air National Guard units in Osea to operate the A-10A Thunderbolt II, solidifying its role as a premier close air support (CAS) squadron. Based at Dobbins Air Reserve Base near Palmetto, Atlanta. Over the years, the squadron has participated in numerous conflicts, from the Belkan War to counterinsurgency operations in Usea and Verusa. Now flying the A-10C, the 482nd remains a critical asset in Osea’s military strategy, providing unparalleled precision strike and CAS capabilities.
