AV-8B Night Attack V/STOL
Welcome to my 8th mission and my first mission for a fixed wing aircraft.
Operation Rescue under fire is loosely based on the Spanish movie "Rescue under fire" and lets you participate in what the AV-8B N/A was designed for - night attack.
The story:
A Humvee of an armoured patrol struck a mine near the Omani town of Hansi. A medevac CH-47 was dispatched to the site, but it rolled over due to hitting soft ground upon landing. Thankfully this did not cause any further casualties.
Problem is, we are not supposed to be in Oman, so central command decided to retrieve the helicopter. Insurgents are threatening the crash site and the troops on location are in urgent need of close air support.
Involves night flying, night attack based on IR pointer target designation, adherance to ROE, avoidance of collateral damage, night/dawn midair refueling. Persian Gulf map is required.
