In 1994, the death of the Sultan of Oman initiated a month long coup. With the help of a US Marine Expeditionary Brigade the Royal Army of Oman defeated the rebels. In the wake of the MEB's withdrawl, the US government is planning to send an Army division to provide continuing, long term security in the country. In the midst of this handoff a nearby Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the LHA Tarawa will provide a temporary stop gap force in the northwest of Oman where a brutal insurgency against the new Sultan is forming.

Update: Broken for the foreseeable future. I'd like to attempt to fix or recreate it, but I'm not sure how and I don't have the time to do it from scratch currently. If you'd like to get it done, go for it. Requires joe_rowe's Civilian Objects and SUNSTAG's NATO Personnel and Items mods. Sequel to the previous UH-1H Convoy Attack mission. A small scale air assault operation centered around a combat insertion and CAS.
Our successful convoy intercept has not only enabled us to push the enemy back to Chernomorskaya, but caught command's attention. To capitalize on the success, we've been tasked with taking Chernomor, which along with Imeretinskaya has become a separatist fortress. They've congealed all their forces into those two towns in hopes of repelling any more advances east.

Red and blue forces are battling over control of western Georgia. The current front line extends roughly west to east, going through the towns of Poti and Lanchuti. Both sides rely heavily on helicopter forces, and to a more limited degree, on airpower. The air battle is largely fought by F-5E and Mig-21bis, with each side seeking air superiority.
THIS MISSION CAN BE PLAYED IN SP AND MP (TESTED IN 2.5 BETA).
EDIT: 3/16/2018: - moved spawn zone of troops away from FARPS (now the FARPS can be captured) to three camp locations per side. - rescued troops can now be dropped off at airfields, FARPs and MASHs. This mitigates the problem of excessively long flight times.
THIS MISSION CAN BE PLAYED IN SP AND MP (TESTED IN 2.5 BETA).
