A routine, peacetime intercept by Canadian Air Force Dagger 01 goes south when a pair of Chinese escorts misjudge your behavior as hostile and move to engage. This mission is a 10-15 mini mission, best played between two friends. You'll spawn mid-scramble to intercept an "unknown" group, and be asked to perform a visual identification (i.e. not to engage, but to visually make contact with the group). Have your wits about you... things will turn nasty quickly. This is the mission flown by Growling Sidewinder in his "Arctic Intercept - Candian CF-188A Hornet Scramble" video.

“Scramble! Scramble! Scramble!” Air raid alert sirens are going off. Yom Kippur, the most holy day of the year on the Jewish calendar has just gone from a lazy day of routine Alert-5 duty to a race to the jets. It is October 6th, 1973.
There is virtually no information to go on, other than the Scramble alert. Being on alert status both jets, mighty F-4E Kurnass’, already have power on and alignments done. Almost as soon as you get strapped in and engines are running a call comes from the tower that orders have come to stand down. Jerusalem is a long way away and you are the flight lead. Time to decide...

Mirage F1
I made this quick mission because lately I've been training on the Mirage F1. It's a real flyable mission but the main goal is to train in air-to-air after scrambling your Mirage F1EE off the ground at Kobuleti to intercept unknown aircraft. The beauty of it is that you may encounter Mig-21s, Mig-29s, SU-25s, L-39s, SU-24s or whatever the Russians send your way (I randomized it in the editor). You have an AWACS and your radar to help you find the bandits, with 2 S530F SARH missiles, 2 R550 IR Magic 2s, as well as your guns to shoot down the menace and come back to Kobuleti.

* DCS World OpenBeta 2.56 or higher
* Supercarrier Module
* F/A-18C module
* Persian Gulf Module
The carrier group has made it through the Straits of Hormuz and is on station in the Persian Gulf.
Intel has determined that several MiG-29's are being staged on Qeshm Island's airbase in prep for a massive offensive against Coalition forces.
Proceed immediately to Qeshm Island Airbase.
Catch 'em with their pants down - blow up those MiGs on the ground and keep them from taking off (or ever flying again)!
Iranian forces will be expecting you - anticipate AAA & SAMs.
Beware Iranian fighters scrambled from other locations.
AWACS & Wingman support are crucial resources on this one...
