This mission is fifth of a set of six single-player missions related to a combined NATO/Republic of Georgia effort to repel a Russian invasion of Georgia along the Black Sea coastal plain in February 2020. Player flies F/A-18C support missions from the USS Stennis. Each mission includes a mission data card, voice messages and a custom kneeboard, especially helpful to VR users. MISSIONS INCLUDE MODS. I include mods because they help bring the somewhat sterile DCS worlds to life and enhance the player’s experience. Feedback welcome. Enjoy.

Russian regular army forces, emboldened by their uncontested occupation of Crimea, have invaded the Republic of Georgia, using the Tbilisi-Senaki Hwy and Myussery Railway, southeast along the coastal plain corridor as the next step to reestablish the hegemony of the former Soviet Union. The joint effort by NATO forces, under US command, to thwart the Russian advance has been named Operation Rogue Bear. USAF has gained air superiority and CSG 3 Operations has planned a large-scale attack on the rail yard at Chushka peninsula, Russia, serving as a primary trans-shipment terminal supplying the Russian ground forces with materiel shipped from Crimea. Primary ground attack on rolling stock and equipment will be carried out by division of A-10C (Cowboy 3) from Maykop.

This Carrier was tasked to be sold to Georgia from a deal lead by Mike Pencil. With Russia's surprise and swift occupation of Georgia, the Carrier has been placed in a holding pattern in the black sea unable to dock until further diplomatic talks takes place and the removal of Russian occupiers.
Upset by the attempted sale, Russia has now opted to immediately scramble and intercept the carrier before it can link up with the US Navy - in a swift surprise attack, catching fighters still on the deck.
Note: This Carrier inadequately protected.
Unknown to Russia, the United States has intercepted these plans by an informant on the ground.
You are tasked with defending this Carrier and it's escorts.
Start up your Hornet, taxi to the catapult.

2 F-15c's has been scrambled from US Base

Take to the air in the F-15C in this alternate history story of the Black Sea region. After Russia's annexation of Crimea, Russian sights seem set on the semi-autonomous region of Abkhazia. Georgia meanwhile has moved a step closer to joining NATO who has placed US military assets in country to dissuade the Russians ideas of conquest. The AO is a powder keg, so lets light some afterburners!

Another Smerch Hunt. This one updated for DCSW 2.5 with some twists added. Flight data card and printable flight plan included. Takeoff from Beslan, follow the flight plan and pay close attention to AWACS transmissions, which will provide targeting information to attack several Smerch MLRS artillery units.
